DAY 1 | Colombo
DAY 2 | Pinnawala – Polonnaruwa
After breakfast proceed to Dambulla visiting Elephant orphanage in Pinnawala.
A visit to this fantastic Elephant orphanage near Kegalle is a must! 20 km (12 miles) west of Kandy on the Colombo Highway, this is where young orphaned or abandoned elephants are cared for. The herd numbers are usually around 50, from tiny infants (tiny in elephant terms, that is) to hefty adolescents and young adults.
Polonnaruwa – The second Ancient Capital of Sri Lanka. Visit Royal Pavilion, Thuparamaya, Watadagaya (circular stupa), Uththararamaya (Galvehare) where the reclining Buddha statue, Lankathilanka – the oldest buddhist temple etc.
Thereafter visit Polonnaruwa for sight-seeing. Overnight stay in Polonnaruwa .
DAY | 3 Sigiriya – Dambulla
After breakfast climb the Sigiriya rock and visit dambulla rock temple.
Sigiriya Rock – Sigiriya Rock Fortress is situated in the north central province belong to the “Cultural Triangle” in the dry lowlands of Sri Lanka. Sigiriya Rock known as Lion’s Rock and considered by some as the eighth Wonder of the World. Sigiriya contains the ruins of an ancient palace complex. Built during the reign of King Kasyapa (477-495 AD). On the west of the rock are ponds the remains of summer palaces and other structures, and the first part of the ancient road, which lead to its impressive summit.

DAY 4 | Dambulla – Kandy
After breakfast proceed to Kandy visiting spice gardens Matale. Evening Kandy cultural dance and visit Tooth Relic temple.
Tooth Relic Temple – The sacred Tooth Relic, housed in the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy is an object of veneration to Buddhists and the most important sacred Relic in the country. The temple is one of the most sacred places in the world for Buddhists.
Overnight stay in Kandy.
DAY 5 | Kandy
After breakfast visit Botanical Garden in Peradeniya, Arts & Craft Center, Gem Museum and Kandy Market.
Kandy city – Kandy is the English name for the city of Maha Nuvara (Senkadagalapura) in the centre of Sri Lanka. It lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is one of the most scenic cities in Sri Lanka; it is both an administrative and religious city.
Overnight stay in Kandy.
DAY 6 | Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya visiting tea plantation and tea factory.
Nuwara Eliya is the heart of Sri Lankan tea country interspersed with gushing streams and tumbling waterfalls.Sri Lanka’s tea country is located mainly in the central highlands, although some of the tea growing areas spread as far as the coast. The reason that tea grows well here is because of the topography and the climate.
Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
DAY 7 | Nuwara Eliya – Horton Plains
DAY 8 | Beach Stay in Ahungalla
Early morning proceed to Ahungalla. Situated in the Ahungalla town in the Galle district, Ahungalla beach is a great place to relax and spend some peaceful time; especially with the beach being relatively less crowded than the others in Sri Lanka.One can sunbathe, surf, or simply cherish their time here by taking an evening walk along the stretch of this beach while appreciating nature’s beauty. This place is not ideal for swimming as the waves are too strong and red flags are raised around the area to warn visitors of this fact.
